Since the departure of Raf Simons as creative designer, Dior has been trying to readjust and continue adding to its iconic legacy as a brand. For their latest haute couture collection for Fall 2016, Dior is returning to its roots, literally and figuratively. The show took place in the flagship Dior atelier in the 8th arrondissement in Paris. The color scheme was mostly black and white, and extremely feminine. The only hints of color were flashes of gold and silver that accented the silhouettes. The highlights of the show were the sheer fabric pieces, particularly the long sheer white twill skirt with gold lining the bottom. A perfect statement of femininity that’s synonymous with the house. This was an overall exciting Dior collection, and great way to move forward.
