When Hudson Mohawke released “Chimes”, he was a little known producer from Scotland. That song catapulted him instantly into the limelight, showing the world that he was the next big influencer in production and the electronic landscape. It even got an official remix, with Pusha T, Future, Travi$ Scott, and French Montana all jumping on and spitting verses. Now, producers Y2K and Alexander Lewis have put their own spin (or flip) on the song. It still keeps the original’s song structure, but changes the drums and synths to create a lusher sound. The first drop stays the same as the original, but the subsequent drops are new, uncharted territory that pays off immensely.
