French artist Lor-K has begun to transform the sidewalks of Paris into her own personal dining room. Entitled “eat me,” she uses discarded mattresses that she finds on the streets and fashions them into oversized versions of popular foods. These sculptures range anywhere from a pizza, to a Belgian waffle, to a mozzarella and tomato sandwich, to a whole serving of sushi with wasabi. They are left exactly where the mattresses were found, and it converts a lowly street corner that had trash on it into a gallery space. Look out for them next time you’re roaming the streets of Paris.
