In a daring artistic endeavor, French artist and Parisian JR has successfully made the famous Louvre Pyramid disappear in plain sight. By using the facade of I.M. Pei-designed pyramid as his canvas, he superimposed a black and white image of the Louvre to match the building behind the pyramid. The result is Houdini-esque; the pyramid blends seamlessly right into the building, effectively “hiding” the structure and creating an interesting visual effect.
The piece is entitled “JR au Louvre”, and will be on display until June 27th. Get there before it’s gone.
