Leonardo DiCaprio is not only one of Hollywood’s favourite actor and a long-awaited Oscar winner; he has also made sure to use his fame to raise awareness about climate change and the damage we are causing to the world.
The actor who is a vegetarian for environmental reasons has also made sure to give publicity to anti-agriculture documentary ‘Cowspiracy’, which talks about the negative effect of the practice over pollution and climate. Additionally, the actor created his own ‘Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation’ which intends to inform people on the subject.
As if all of this wasn’t enough, now the actor has released the trailer for his new documentary, directed by Academy Award-winning Fisher Stevens ‘Before the Flood’. The trailer lasts just over two minutes and it is enough to already feel guilty about disregarding the topic in such a brutal way.
Sometimes the truth can be displeasing and that is why we tend to put it aside but this documentary is an important instrument utilised by an influential enough person that will hopefully achieve to raise awareness.
‘Before the Flood’ will hit theaters in NYC and LA starting October 21 and will air globally on the National Geographic Channel on October 30. Watch the trailer below.
