In case you don’t know them, Y/Project is a Parisian brand of which Belgian graduate Glenn Martens is its Creative Director. Although this is the second time Y/Project presents a Womenswear show and despite Vogue’s reviews that said “underscoring that Y/Project proves most fun when the taste level is most questionable”, the impression Marten has left within millenials is really positive.

A few key items from his Womenswear Fall 2016 collection such as ruched jeans, cutouts and constructed garments made a comeback as if to establish their own identity. As the brand pride themselves in their unisex styles, some pieces from the Menswear Spring 2016 collection were also seen last night- such as the lilac two piece, proving that his collections can actually challenge classification.

The fascinating thing about the collection is that although it isn’t necessarily commercial due to it’s voluptuous silhouettes, the clothes look like something young celebrities such as Rihanna would definitely wear.
